Wi-Fi recommended for the initial download. GreenLane Navigator includes extensive GB map and trail data for offline exploration, so the initial app download is approximately 500 MB. Extra map detail loads online and may be cached; new road calculations need internet.

Follow your position, see your progress and keep your next waypoint in view. Bundled trails and overview maps remain available without a signal. Extra map detail needs internet unless already cached.
Built around your waypoints
A route-planning and following tool for people who want to choose their own way through Great Britain.

Add waypoints, choose road or off-road sections and build your plan. On-road legs use online driving routing. Off-road sections can follow connected paths in the bundled GB trail data.
GPS following, waypoint progress, a speed display and route guidance help you follow the plan. Eligible road destination sections can adjust when you deviate.
Road routing is a general driving profile, not dedicated motorcycle or 4×4 routing.
Save named routes in your library. Import or export GPX files to keep a separate copy or move a route between compatible tools.
Fresh launches clear the working plan. Saved library routes remain yours to load again.
GB trail data and overview maps are bundled. Extra map detail loads online and may be cached. There is currently no detailed-area download control; cached detail is not guaranteed offline coverage. A saved route can retain its geometry.
New road calculations and rerouting need internet. Offline maps do not mean full offline road routing.
Ready to join the dots?
See how planning worksYour route starts here
Search an address or explore the map. On an empty plan, tap a point and choose Start here to begin there, or Travel here to plan a road route from your current GPS location.
Add waypoints and choose On-Road or Off-Road for the next section. The app estimates connections using routing services or mapped paths. Review the entire line, including any straight-line fallback.
Verify access and suitability before setting out. Save the route, plan for limited map detail without a signal, and select Navigate when you are ready. Stop safely before operating your phone.
IMPORTANT ROUTE-ACCESS INFORMATION
GreenLane Navigator does not determine whether a route is legally accessible or suitable for your vehicle. It estimates connections between your chosen waypoints. Suggested routes may include paths where vehicle access is prohibited or restricted.
You must verify the legality, current access permissions, temporary closures, landowner permission and vehicle suitability of every route before travelling it. Check current authoritative information and obey signs and barriers on the ground.
Maps and GPS can be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Turn back if access or safety is uncertain. This notice does not remove your statutory consumer rights.

After the three-day free trial, Google Play will automatically charge you £9.99 for one year of app subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
The subscription then automatically renews at £9.99 per year until cancelled. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
The trial starts when you accept the subscription offer in Google Play, not when you download the app. Trial eligibility is determined by Google Play.

Include your phone model, Android version, app version, steps to reproduce the issue, and what you expected and actually saw. Mention whether GPS and internet were available. Screenshots are optional: remove private information and only share location or route details if needed. Never send passwords or payment-card details. Stop safely before reporting a problem. Support is provided by email, not live trip monitoring or an emergency service.
No. Neither a highlighted byway nor a suggested route verifies current legal access, opening status or suitability. Check authority information, restrictions and permissions before travelling.
The bundled trail packs cover Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. They are based on OpenStreetMap and are not a complete legal rights-of-way inventory. Northern Ireland postcode searches are not supported.
Bundled trail data and overview maps are available locally. Extra map detail loads online and may be cached. There is currently no detailed-area download control, and cached detail is not guaranteed offline coverage. New road routing, rerouting and address searches need internet; offline map display is not full offline road routing.
Navigation normally continues for up to 30 seconds in the background, then pauses GPS until you return. Detected call audio extends this period, restarting the grace period after the call. Detection varies by phone or calling app. A fresh launch clears unsaved working trips; named saved routes remain. Do not rely on indefinite ordinary screen-off navigation.
Open data. Clear credit.
GreenLane Navigator is built with openly licensed map data and software. The people behind those projects deserve clear credit.
Download the machine-readable map and trail archive separately from the app. It contains openly licensed data, provenance and licence notices—not the app source code or anyone’s personal saved routes.
Opens Microsoft OneDrive in a new tab. The data is freely available under the licences included in the archive. This is map data, not an app installer. For data matching a particular app release, check the included manifest and notices.
The map databases retain their own open-licence rights. Restrictions on the app software must not remove your rights to copy, adapt or redistribute those databases under their licences.
